said starting July 21, the airlines customers will no longer be able to book new codeshare bookings on American Airlines Group Inc.

flights, and vice versa. For those with travel already booked, customers will have to add their JetBlue or American Airlines mileage program numbers to their bookings before July 21 to earn points. The announcement comes after JetBlue announced last week that it was unwinding its Northeast Alliance joint venture with American amid regulatory scrutiny given JetBlue’s proposed acquisition of Spirit Airlines Inc.
